# Sovereign Intelligence and the Copy That Stays
## Today the answer is given and then gone, and often the resolver is not even yours
The company's own framing of the problem is narrow and good. A device asks a question, the resolver answers, and no copy is kept inside the organisation's walls. Frequently the resolver belongs to someone else entirely, which means the only record of what the network asked for sits with a third party, in another jurisdiction.
With a mirror in place, the same questions produce a structured record that stays inside the boundary. The phrase on the site is a resolver-preserving layer that turns raw DNS traffic into sovereign intelligence.

This sits on a genuine structural fact: whoever runs the resolver holds a complete log of intent for every device behind it. It is the reason states fund their own resolvers, DNS4EU being the clearest example, and the reason resolver operation is treated as a sovereignty function rather than a utility.
## Why it matters
It gives the product a second buyer. Cost reduction is sold to whoever owns the SIEM budget. Sovereignty is sold to whoever answers to a regulator, and that buyer is less price-sensitive and harder to displace.
It is also the argument that travels furthest geographically. Every market with a data residency regime has the same question, and few local vendors can answer it in a way a foreign platform can match.
