# Rimau Anthesis — The Wedge Product
**"Audit-ready every day of the year."** Anthesis takes the worst three months of an estate's year and makes them ordinary.
> [!abstract] Before and after
> **Today** — about three months of prep, RM9–12.5k to a consultant plus certification fees, once a year, a split team sorting documents against 88 indicators.
> **With Anthesis** — about a week, one flat fee, every day. The file assembles itself from the daily work. The manager opens one screen instead of one book.
## The core loop
1. **Ingest.** Photos of paper, spreadsheets, scans, WhatsApp-grade inputs. ==The estate never has to become organised to start; Anthesis is how it becomes organised.==
2. **See gaps.** The standard, translated. MSPO's 88 indicators become plain language: here is what is expected of you this month, here is what you have, here is the gap. Gaps are visible to the operator **alone**, until the operator says otherwise.
3. **Fix.** Guided remediation. Every gap becomes a plain-language to-do with an owner and a date. ==Progress bars, not violations.== Time to fix before anything is finalised.
4. **Declare.** The monthly e-MSPO declaration files from evidence already in the system, and the annual audit pack assembles itself. GHG figures come from the same records, automatically.
## The beachhead feature: CAR drafting
When a non-conformity lands — major, minor, or OFI — Anthesis drafts the corrective action response straight from the evidence vault: root cause, correction, corrective action, evidence attached, filed inside the deadline. See [[Rimau/MSPO and the Regulatory Clocks]] for why the deadline is the product.
## What it replaces, and what it does not
> [!success] Replaces
> The proxy agent's consultation fee, the three-month scramble, the Excel GHG calculator, and the binder wall.
> [!failure] Does not replace
> - **The certification body.** Scheme rules keep certifiers independent, so Anthesis stays on the readiness side of the line and treats the 23 accredited CBs as a *channel*. This is [[Rimau/Competition and the Impartiality Line|the Vanta separation]].
> - **The estate ERP, on day one.** Lintramax covers accounting through attendance but is manual-heavy, dated, often half-used, and does not touch MSPO intelligence. Anthesis sits *above* the ERP, on the job nobody covers.
## Trust architecture
- **Data sovereignty in contracts, not marketing.** Client data belongs to the client and stays within the client's organisation; exportable and deletable at will; never shared with authorities or buyers without instruction.
- **Findings are private to the operator**, who decides what an auditor sees and when. This is [[Rimau/The Transparency Paradox]] designed *in*, not worked around.
- **Genuine remediation only.** Anthesis never generates, alters or backdates a record. A timestamped trail of problems found and fixed is the operator's strongest position. *"A safe place to get compliant, never safe from the law."*
## MVP scope
> [!note] In
> Evidence vault with photo/scan/spreadsheet ingest · mapping to the 88 indicators · the private gap dashboard · guided remediation to-dos · monthly e-MSPO declaration workflow · e-MSPO responsibility management (audit-plan acknowledgement tracking, CAR drafting with deadline autopilot, two-week report-review reminders) · audit pack export · GHG reports generated from field records · **Malay and English**.
> [!note]- Out, for now
> Sensors and traceability hardware, AI grading, payroll and ERP features, wearables, and anything that automates a decision before the data proves itself. **Identification first, actuation later.**
**Interface first.** In this market the UI *is* the product's credibility, and adoption must survive a user who will never read a manual. Onboarding in days, not months.
## What success looks like
- **Prep time** — from ~3 months to days, measured at a design partner's first surveillance audit.
- **Cadence** — declarations and CAR responses never overdue; the client's e-MSPO account never shows a red badge; weekly active use *outside* audit season.
- **The renewal test** — design partners pay from the start, renew, and describe the audit as easy without being asked. That unprompted sentence is the phase gate.
## Open risks
1. **Adoption trust** — industry caution toward software could outweigh reassurance. *Mitigation:* sovereignty in contracts, remediation-first design, warm-introduction selling through the Sabah network.
2. **Incumbent extension** — plantation software or a government system reaches for this job. *Mitigation:* speed, a product operators enjoy, and a data asset that compounds monthly.
3. **Regulatory timing** — EUDR slips. *Mitigation:* MSPO alone is sufficient demand.
4. **Estate count** — the 6,000+ figure still needs confirming against MPOB and MSPO published data.
